Personal Statement

Elaine Homer MA
Art Psychotherapist, BAAT member
​

Elaine is a UK HCPC registered art psychotherapist facilitating individual and group art therapy to enable people to express through art what may be difficult in words.  Elaine works with young people and adults within the Health and Care Professions Council's Standards of conduct, performance and ethics.  She has an MA in Art Psychotherapy from the University of Roehampton.  Her background is in Media Education and professional development for teachers.

Elaine works flexibly according to individual need to create a safe space to explore thoughts and feelings within a trusting relationship.  She has worked in the NHS, community and schools with people experiencing family and relationship issues; feelings of isolation; exploring questions about meaning and identity; through transitions and coping with loss.  She believes in a strengths-based approach to achieving well-being and has a strong commitment to diversity and equality issues.
